  24. The reason for putting the Amstrad as the 'server' is because when you
  25. run interserver the machine is locked out and can not be used. I figured
  26. is was better to not be able to use an LCD laptop rather than a 486 pc.
  27. Also I'm not sure what the loading would be on a pc of running the
  28. software extras so, to acheive easy laptop removal try this

  41. This way the pentium takes the extra load of running the system and comms
  42. and the amstrad is removable easily. The drives would be something like

  55. Don't forget this scheme is a theory only and relies on the fact that
  56. there is such a thing as pc sernet equivalent. Also there may be software
  57. considerations that can not be taken into account here. You should cross
  58. reference this on a pc newsgroup. At least there is no large financial
  59. layout required to try this.

  61. I thought it was worth noting that the 'outdated?' A500 was the only
  62. machine that could recognise the drives as something understandable such
  63. as pentiumc: all the pc ones become a nightmare.
